We used to call this dish a Shepherd's Pie but, unless it contains lamb, it is supposed to be called a Cottage Pie.
I used Gardein crumbles for my protein but you can use lentils or TVP or Beyond Meat or, frankly, whatever you want.
I made this according to the recipe but I did have to add a bit of water when I added my crumbles as they started to stick. I could have added a bit more oil instead. Water did the trick, though.
I really enjoyed this meal. It was tasty and filling.
